Mary Virginia Clifton - Obituary

n December 28, 2017, Mary Virginia Clifton passed away peacefully at Charles Regional Medical Center. Mary was 89 years old and was born November 7, 1928; daughter of John Edward Eagleston and Elton Irene Eagleston. Mary was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Accokeek, MD. Devoted wife to William Henry Clifton Jr., deceased, and is survived by her children, Jane (Clifton) McCloy and her husband, Steve, John (Jake) Clifton and his wife, Carla, Billy Clifton and his wife, Kathie. Mary was also survived by many loving grandchildren including Jason Clifton and his wife, Mary, Timmy Clifton, Troy Clifton, Andy McCloy, Beth (Clifton) Jones and her husband, Kirk and Molly (McCloy) Franks and her husband, Jackson; along with her great grandchildren, Cassidy McCloy, Emily and Jacob Clifton, Gabriella (McCloy) Burgess, Ella Franks, Remmie and Quinn (Clifton) Jones; and her great-great grandchild Cali (McCloy) Crooks. Viewing for Mary will be at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill, MD on Wednesday, January 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial Service will be at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. Afterward family and friends will proceed to the gravesite at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 5203 St. Barnabas Rd, Temple Hills, MD.
