Mary Mozelle Colmus, 86, a 23-year resident of Annapolis and formerly of Kettering, died January 14 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center. She was born on June 26, 1925 in Mooresville, NC to the late William and Katie Coggins. Mary was a devoted wife and mother while at the same time pursuing a career as a procurement agent for the Federal Government. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Annapolis and loved traveling.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John E. Colmus who died in 1987. She is survived by three daughters, Sharon E. Sumpter of Benedict, Pamela K. McGee of Princess Anne and Jackie Kilmer of Silver Spring; 10 grandchildren, Elaine A. Morgan, Emery E. and Russell Dean, and John W., Kady A., Cody J., Kyle A., Jack E., Carl R. and Chad E. Kilmer; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Friends are invited to Mary’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday, January 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20 at 11 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
