Mary Ann DeCredico - Obituary

ary Ann DeCredico, 66, a longtime resident of Annapolis, MD, died on July 22, 2025. Born in Cleveland, OH on March 28, 1959 to the late Joseph David and Alexandra Jack DeCredico, she earned her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University before achieving her doctorate from Vanderbilt University. Mary served as a history professor for many years at the U.S. Naval Academy and was an accomplished lifelong published author. She was a member of Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church and in her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, cars, football and spending time at the beach. Mary is survived by her brother, David DeCredico of Mentor, OH. Family and friends are invited to Mary’s life celebration on Saturday, July 26 from 10 to 11 AM followed by her funeral service at 11 AM at the Annapolis Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 W. Central Avenue, Edgewater, MD 21037. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the above named church.
