Mary J. Fratta - Obituary

ary Johanna Awad Fratta, a resident of Annapolis and previously of Dunkirk, MD, passed away on August 23, 2025. She was born on May 16, 1935, in Shenandoah, PA, to the late Fred and Helen Awad. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Peter J. Fratta. She is survived by her children, Deborah Koehle (Chris) of Leland, NC, Mark Fratta of Harwood, MD, and Michele Shaw of Prince Frederick, MD; her grandchildren, Michael Villano (Ashley) of Annapolis, MD, Molly MacTaggart (Bobby) of Rockaway, NJ, Dylan Koehle (Lindsey) of Chapin, SC, Megan Sutphin (Travis) of Prince Frederick, MD, Christopher Fratta of Harwood, MD, and Johua Fratta of Harwood, MD; as well as nine great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be offered on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 11 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778; interment will follow in the church cemetery.
