Mary Hedlund - Obituary

ary Jo Hedlund, "MJ", a 30-year resident of Edgewater, Md and previously of Silver Spring, Md died on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the Mandrin Inpatient Care Center of cancer and kidney disease. She was 71. Born April 27, 1943 in Denver, Co, to the late Lucille M. and Joseph V. Agan, Sr., she attended Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, where she received her Associate degree while in their Medical Secretary Program. MJ was employed at Walter Reed Army Hospital as a medical secretary. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed doing pottery, print and book making at Anne Arundel Community College, watching Oakland Raiders football and World War II history. Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ken Hedlund in 2011. She is survived by her two siblings, Joseph V. Agan of Aurora, Co and Maureen Agan Bray Wichita, Ks. Interment private. Box 758517, Topeka, Ks 66675, Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Md 21122 or a charity of one's choice.
