Mary Hufnell - Obituary

n April 19, 2014, Mary Margaret Hufnell, 84, of Edgewater, MD passed away peacefully. Loving wife of the late William Joseph Hufnell, with whom she was married for 61 years, and loving mother of Mary Hufnell of Bethesda, Anne Hufnell of Chester, William Hufnell of Annapolis and Gerald Hufnell of Davidsonville; and grandmother of Jake and Zach Malanoski; Kaitlyn and Ryan Hufnell; Billy and Lisa Hufnell; and Ashley Hufnell. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Hufnell. Mary is also survived by her two sisters, Catherine (Cass) Parkinson of Cape May, NJ and Sr. Maureen Patrick Kelly of St. John’s the Evangelist Church in Severna Park. She was born and raised in Philadelphia. She loved spending time with her family, particularly kidding around with her grandchildren. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved Irish music and dancing. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD from 6:00 to 8:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 515 Loch Haven Rd, Edgewater, MD on Thursday, May 1 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
