M

ary Margaret Landmann, 72, of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away November 21, 2014. Mary was born in Annapolis to Joseph M. and Edna Mae Dicey January 29, 1942.She graduated from Annapolis High School in 1960. She was a homemaker and worked in the circulation department of Maryland Magazine in the late 70’s and early 80’s before joining her husband, Elmer, in the ownership and operation of Landmann Repair and Maintenance, Inc. in 1985. Mary enjoyed ballet and became an instructor for the Annapolis Recreation Department in 1960. She was a pupil of Marcelle T. Pasqual. She retired her dancing career to marry on August 5, 1961. She loved family life, adored reading and was a political junky. She enjoyed her pets, Scully and Penny most of all. Mary spent her free time with her barn family at Reality Inn enjoying trail rides and grooming days with her beloved horse, Mighty Mouse. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Elmer Carl Landmann; her brother Michael Dicey of Cape Cod,MA; son Roger Landmann and wife Jennifer of Crofton; daughter Katy Avery and husband Wayne of Edgewater; grandchildren Gunther Landmann, Carl Avery and wife Kristy, Victor Landmann, Rachel Avery, Heidi Landmann and husband Alex; great granddaughter Caliana Mae Avery and great grandson Kamden Luke Avery. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edna; three brothers, Joseph H., Charles E. and William J. Dicey; and a sister, Bonnie J. Kellenbenz Public Visitation/Gathering at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Tuesday, November 25 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, November 26, at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mandrin Hospice House, 3675 Solomons Island Road, Harwood, MD 20776 or please consider designating the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Building Fund 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD 21037.
