ary Virginia Lanneau
Mary Virginia Lanneau, a 39 year resident of Davidsonville, and previously of Annapolis, MD, died on Friday June 5 at Crofton Care and Rehab. Center after a 9 month battle with cancer. She was 90 years old.
Born May 2, 1919 in Edgewater, MD to the late Edward and Charlotte Asher, she attended Annapolis High school. Mary worked as a bank teller for Maryland National Bank before retiring in 1984. She was a member of Community Bible Church.
Her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, cooking and canning.
She is survived by her children, Charles J. Lanneau of Davidsonville, MD, Charlotte A. Hayes of Glen Burnie, MD, her sister Helen Wood of Edgewater, MD. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Robert, Merle and Samuel Asher, and sisters Mildred Gardner and Aggie Asher; and one grandson Scott Franklin Hayes, who died in November of 1970.
Friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration on Monday June 8, from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at 11am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Annapolis, MD.
