Mary Lee Lawson - Obituary

ary Lee Lawson, 72, a resident of Millersville for eight years and previously of Annapolis, died May 25, 2023 in Millersville after a long illness. Born in Washington, DC on April 24, 1951 to the late Grover Cleveland and Esther Lorraine Sears, she graduated from Southern High School and worked in the bookkeeping department for Home Depot. In her spare time, she enjoyed being with her grandchildren and family. Mary is survived by her children, Dawn (Matt) Turner of Chester, MD and Marvin Lawson of Millersville; her siblings, Al (Carol) Sears of Fort Myers, FL, Linda Wright of West Virginia and Joyce (Jerry) Khulman of Fairhaven, MD; five granddaughters and one grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother in law, Don Wright. Family and friends are invited to Mary’s life celebration on Wednesday, May 31 from 3-6 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 2 at 11 AM, with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis.
