ary V. Long, 77, of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, died at her home on April 29. She was born on July 25, 1936 in Washington, DC, to the late Frederick and Anne Van Vranken. Mary retired from the Food and Drug Administration where she had made a career as an Employee Relations Specialist. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joseph Q. Long; two daughters, Victoria (Dennis) Renehan of Eldorado and Carol (Darryl) Harriday of Ellicott City; two sisters, Dona McLemore of Rockville and Barbara Wyatt of Silver Spring; and three grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Harriday and Georgia Fried.
Friends are invited to Mary’s Life Celebration from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 2 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment private.
