Mary Mahota - Obituary

ary Kay Mahota of Edgewater, MD, previously of Dublin, OH, passed away at home on Saturday, April 25. Through her life she was active in many things, but ever a voracious reader and crossword puzzle aficionado. Her quick wit, sense of humor and ringing laughter will be missed immediately by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jack Mahota and there is great comfort in knowing they are reunited and at this moment Jack and Kate are most certainly cutting a rug. She is survived by their three children, Mike of Minnetrista, MN, Tim of Santa Barbara, CA, and Kris of Edgewater, and their families, including five grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD at 1pm on Friday, May 1. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, Meals on Wheels, or an animal shelter of your choice.
