ary Ellen Caparrotta McMahon (Posey) Mary Ellen McMahon 97, of Indian Head, Maryland Died on Sunday June 17, 2007. She was born in Washington D.C. December 9,1909. She is the Daughter of the late Samuel Richard Posey and Martha Ann Vallandingham, in addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband Dominick Caparrotta, Daughter-in-law Sarah E. O'Dea, and Brothers Charles, James, Wallace, Morgan, Lawrence, Joseph Posey and Elsie Rasimowicz. She is survived by her son James R. Capparrotta Sr; Grandchildren Jimmy, Mike, Karen and Christine; Sisters, Olga jones, Martha Peden and Helen Schaefer; 6 Great grandchildren and 3 Great great Grandchildren. She went to work at age fifteen for the C&P Telephone Co., she was a switch board operator for over Twenty years. Parts of those years were at the Franklin Exchange. She also worked for the Mayflower Hotel and the Export/Import Bank. A Celebration of Mary Ellens life will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, Md. A Mass of christian burial will be offered on Thursday June 21st,2007 at 10 AM From St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 8908 Old Branch Ave., Clinton, Md. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
