Mary Manale Myers - Obituary

ary Manale Myers, 81, a resident of Heathsville, VA for thirty years and previously of Silver Spring, MD, died on June 18, 2016 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD. Born on September 22, 1934 in New Orleans, LA to the late George Frank and Sadie Manale, Mary graduated from high school and was a homemaker. Mary, along with her husband, Paul G. “Fritz” Myers, Jr. owned and operated the family construction business, Applicators, Inc. of Laurel, MD before retiring in 1989. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, traveling and being in the sun. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Martin Frank Manale and by her husband, Paul G. "Fritz" Myers, Jr. who died on October 25, 2014. They were married on March 7, 1953. Mary is survived by her children, Bonnie A. Buchanan of Davidsonville, MD, Terrance P. Myers of Silver Spring, MD, Jean M. Silverman of Kensington, MD, and Timothy S. Myers of Sykesville, MD; her grandchildren, Melissa S. Stoner of Mt. Airy, MD, Megan L. Murray of Alice Springs, Australia, Dr. Andrew S. Myers of Visalia, CA, Charles R. Myers of Frederick, MD, Eric and Allison Silverman of Kensington, MD; and her great-grandchildren, Colten and Amanda Stoner, Prina, Sadie and Niata Murray. Friends are invited to celebrate Mary's life on Saturday, June 25 from 12:00pm until her funeral service begins at 1:00pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD.
