Mary Rohland - Obituary

n Sunday, August, 24, 2014; the beloved wife of the late Leo Rohland; mother of Leo (Sarah) Rohland, Catherine "Lucy" (Steve) Berry, Barbara (Tom) Thayer, John (Heide) Rohland, Theresa "Happy" (Chris) Ervin and Helen (Jeff-deceased) Prince; daughter of the late John Allen Brown and Virginia Stultz (Stults) Brown; grandmother of Sarah, Dawn, Rose, Jason, Iosac, Grant, Jared and Will. She is also survived by seven siblings, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Cathy was an avid gardener, fervent reader, lover of nature, and mysteries. She turned into a computer geek after a visit with her brother Tom, then learned to use it to read library books, stay in touch with family and work on puzzles. Relatives and friends are invited to Cathy's Life Celebration on Sunday, September 7 with the Memorial Service starting at 2 p.m. and gathering after service until 4pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Caring Hospice.
