ary Willson Sharp of Harwood, MD died on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on August 5, 1941, in Annapolis, MD to the late Leonard R. and Mary V. Willson, Mary was the matriarch of the family business, L.R. Willson and Sons, Inc., that she shared with her two brothers for over 45 years. It truly was her big passion in life. She has not only been a pillar but an anchor for our family and many co-workers, guiding the ship in calm and rough seas for all. Mary loved Ocean City, MD, and her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Edgar Sharp; her children, William (Mary) Ford of Harwood, MD, Joe (Jill) Sharp of West River, MD, Sherrie (Dennis) Wilkinson of Harwood, MD and Denise (Christopher) Black of South Carolina; her brothers, James L. (Suzanne) Willson of Annapolis, MD and Donald E. (Linda) Willson of Harwood, MD and her sister , Deborah (Robert) Dorsey of Edgewater, MD. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Travis Sharp and her granddaughter, Nicki Janisko. Friends are invited to celebrate Mary's life at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Sunday, February 18, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM where her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
