ary Ann “Mimi” Martin, 73, a resident of Millsboro, DE and former longtime resident of Edgewater, MD passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord on July 21, 2026 in Dover, DE. Born in Reading, PA on January 8, 1953 to the late Dwayne and Margaret Stanard, she was a school bus driver and faithful member of Riva Trace Baptist Church, a pianist for 25 years at Edgewater Baptist Church and was deeply involved in children’s ministries. Mimi is survived by her husband of 57 years, James Martin; her children, Amy Martin-Neiswonger of New Bethlehem, PA, Michelle Lambert (Richard) of Owings, MD and Scott Martin (Lindsey) of Davidsonville, MD; her brother, David Stanard of Virginia; her grandchildren, Ryan Hoffman, Khorey Neiswonger and Raegen Faulkner; Bailee Lambert and Emma Lambert; Justin Martin and Emerson Martin; and five great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to Mimi’s life celebration on Tuesday, July 28 from 10AM-12PM, followed by her funeral service at 12PM, at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville. A reception will follow from 2-4 PM at the North Beach VFD. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mimi’s memory may be made to your local SPCA.
