Mary Ellen White - Obituary

ary Ellen White, 90, a resident of Huntingtown, MD, died on Friday, March 30 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD. Born on June 21, 1927 in Washington, D.C. to the late William and Tillie Tucker, Mary Ellen loved traveling, slot machines, playing bingo and canasta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin B. White. She is survived by her children, Robert (Kathy) White of Destin, FL and Donna (Roy) Sanford of Huntingtown, MD and her granddaughters, Megan Fry and Jillian Sanford. Friends are invited to celebrate Mary Ellen's life on Tuesday, April 10 from 6 to 8 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
