Maura A. Bonaccorsy - Obituary

aura A. Bonaccorsy, 78 years old, a resident of Annapolis Maryland for almost 40 years passed away at Ann Arundel Medical Center due to complications from Vasculitis on July 3, 2022. Maura was diagnosed with Vasculitis, an autoimmune disorder in November and suffered complications that started early in June. Maura was born on June 12, 1944 in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1962. She was retired from the FBI’s field office in Annapolis, MD and before working at the FBI she worked at the United States Naval Academy. Maura was married to John D. Bonaccorsy for 40 years prior to his passing in 2003. She is survived by two children, Nunzio J. Bonaccorsy of Edgewater, Maryland and his wife Roe Bonaccorsy and Catherine J. Tompkins of Fairfax, VA and her husband Chad Tompkins; 5 grandchildren: Ashley Giler and her husband Stephen Giler, Justin Bonaccorsy and his wife Kelly Bonaccorsy, Emma Bonaccorsy, Morgan Tompkins, and Grace Tompkins; and 1 great-grandchild: Sophia Giler. Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Maura’s life on Monday, July 18th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, July 19th at 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment Ft.
