Melita Blanks - Obituary

n Tuesday, August 28, 2019 she passed away at the age of 61; the beloved wife of Robert Blanks; mother of Matt (Rianna) Blanks and Rhea Blanks; sister of Rodinio G. Hayag, Rolando G. Hayag, Romeo G. Hayag, Roberto G. Hayag, Nelia H. Ignacio, Rodel G. Hayag, Delaila H. Canillas, and Roelita H. Canlas. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. She resided in Oxon Hill, MD. Mimi worked as a Resolution Specialist in the NFCU Call Center. She enjoyed gardening, baking, going to the beach, riding rollercoasters, playing with her dogs, and taking care of her loved ones. Relatives and friends are invited to Mimi's Life Celebration on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Monday, September 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Please arrive at the Administration Building with one's own transportation 45 mins prior to the interment at Arlington.
