Melody Young - Obituary

elody Ann Young, 51, a 20-year resident of Edgewater, MD died on March 16, 2011 in Laurel, DE from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born August 15, 1959 in Washington, DC, Melody attended Suitland High School and was employed as a caregiver for the elderly. Melody loved having fun, music and had a passion for helping people, especially the elderly and disabled. She was predeceased by her father, Paul (Pete) Young, Sr. and brother, Paul Young, Jr. Melody is survived by a son, Jacob M. Fielding of Edgewater, MD; her mother, M. Theresa Young of Edgewater, MD; also survived by 4 brothers, Danny Young of Edgewater, MD, David Young of Rose Haven, MD, Edward Young of Huntington, MD, Pete Young of Edgewater, MD, and 2 sisters, Susie Fowler of Upper Marlboro, MD and Stephanie Mock of Edgewater, MD. Friends are invited to Melody’s Life Celebration at the American Legion, Post 226, 830 Mayo Road, Mayo, MD on Sunday, March 20 from 1 to 5pm. Interment private.
