elve Pineda Velasco, 69, of Ft. Washington, MD passed away on December 6, 2017. Born on July 19, 1948 to the late Meliton C. Pineda and Venicia Serrano Pineda in Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She is also predeceased by her Brother, Romy Pineda (Aida). Melve retired as a Supervisor with the PNC Bank. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, shopping, watching Filipino Shows, and playing Bingo. Melve is survived by her Husband, Jamie Flora Velasco. Brothers, Tom Pineda (Estelita), Omar Pineda (Lynn). Nieces and Nephews; Romeo, Jr. (Andrea), Rhoda (Keith), Marie, Sandy, Lis (Danny). Great Nieces and Nephews; Romeo, III, Sophia, Keira, Zoe, and Laila Rose. Relatives and friends are invited to Melve's Life Celebration on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd. Oxon Hill, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Inurnment at a later date in the Philippines.
