Michael Stephen Bayliff - Obituary

ichael "Mike" Bayliff, 59, a 29 year resident of Annapolis and formerly of Oakton, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017. Born in Arlington, Virginia, on April 18, 1958, to the late Calvin Orman and Helen Sweeney, Michael was an electrician who started an apprenticeship program on August 26, 1978, for IBEW Local 26. Mike became a Journeyman in 1992 and was employed at Freestate, J.E. Richards, Coastal Electric, and many other electrical contractors. In total, Mike had 39 years of service in the electrical field. He will always be remembered as a hard worker. Mike was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed attending games. He loved fishing with his friends, crabbing with his children and spending time at the beach with his family. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Amy K. Bayliff; three sons, Matthew, Adam and Mark Bayliff; one daughter, Katherine Bayliff; three brothers, Gregory, Richard and the late Calvin Bayliff; and three sisters, Claudia, Leslie, and Penny Bayliff. Friends are invited to celebrate Mike's life on Thursday, June 29 from 6pm-9pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Inurnment will be on Friday, June 30 at 11 am at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd., Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Adam Bayliff Trust Supplemental Needs Fund, 302 Heathfield Lane, Annapolis, MD 21403.
