Michael A Boyko - Obituary

ichael Boyko was born in Baltimore, MD on December 30, 1948, and passed away on August 25, 2023. Michael was the oldest of three siblings. He graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore in 1966. He enlisted in the US Army shortly after graduation and served two tours in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1971. Michael had several jobs over his employment career and started two successful businesses of his own. One was a videotape rental store, American Video, that grew to include five stores. He had a disagreement with his partners and was bought out of American Video just before the tape rental business went downhill due to the internet and streaming services. Later he became a Residential Real Estate Appraiser and opened his own shop, AMTECH. He did this until he retired in 2016. Michael’s dad, Alexander W. Boyko, passed away in 1994 and his mom, Helen J. Boyko, passed away in 2020. He is survived by his brother William Lee Boyko and his wife Linda. Also, by his sister Sylvia Boyko Stafford and her husband James. Also, by two nephews, four grand nephews, and three grand nieces. No memorial service is planned currently.
