ichael J. Driscoll, 86, of Annapolis, Maryland died July 26, 2007. Born of the 4th of July 1921 in Washington, D.C., he was the only son of the late Michael J. and Florence Barbee Driscoll. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy abroad the U.S.S. South Dakota. Mr. Driscoll returned from the war and worked for the Federal Government as an Office Administrator until his retirement. He was an accomplished pianist and performed at many night spots in the Annapolis area. He was a avid waterman and loved boating on the Chesapeake Bay with his beloved dog Dakota. He was predeceased in death by his five sisters; Anna Driscoll, Florence Driscoll, Margaret Driscoll Gerhart, Loretto Driscoll Cullinane, and Rita Driscoll Tarant. He leaves behind a niece, Constance A. Dean of Beltsville, Maryland, nephew Larry Denny, of Anaheim, California and many grand nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his special friend and long time companion Gladys Hooks. Family and friends are invited to Mr. Driscoll's Life Celebration on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 3 to 6 P.M. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home in Edgewater. A graveside sservice will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1300 Bladensburg Road, Washington, D.C.
