Michael David Jones - Obituary

ichael Jones of Shady Side, MD, died on January 3, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and John Jones, his brother Rick and sister Katie. He is survived by his brother Bryan Jones of Virginia, his two sons Daniel of Missouri and Andrew of Maryland, and his grandson Barrett. Mike loved sailing, flying, hunting, time with friends and, most of all spending time with his family. Friends are invited to celebrate Michael's life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Saturday, January 18 from 12 pm until his memorial service begins at 1 pm. Mike was a pilot for Angel Flight, and it brought great joy to his heart to be able to help those who needed it. Angel Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community by providing free air transportation to children and adults with medical conditions who need treatment far from home. The help that pilots provide is huge, so please consider donating, and know is very much appreciated by those who receive the help.
