Michael A. Lemke - Obituary

ichael Lemke, "Mike", 70, a resident of Riva, MD for 22 years and previously of Annapolis, died on Monday, August 21 after a two year battle with cancer. Born on June 9, 1947 in Chicago, IL to the late Cyril and Julia Lemke, Mike earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Marquette University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University. He worked as an electrical engineer with the Federal Government. Mike was the former president of the Crabtowne Skiers and enjoyed sailing, skiing, photography, bicycling and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gail Lemke; his children, Christine Brackens of Arnold, MD, Christine (Peter) Corte of Hanover, PA, Colleen Leith of Germantown, MD, Kevin Clorety of Baltimore, MD and Cliff (Steph) Clorety of West River, MD and his grandchildren, Mariah Brackens, Matt, Claire and Nick Corte, Adrianna and Logan Leith and Chase and Parker Clorety. Friends are invited to celebrate Mike's life on Wednesday, August 23 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 24 at 12 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD.
