ichael “Mike†Anthony Nardozzi, 77, a resident of Heritage Harbour for over 12 years died at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood, MD on July 1, 2008 of Hodgkins Lymphoma after a lengthy illness.
Born October 18, 1930 in Scranton, PA to the late Anthony and Theresa Nardozzi, he was a graduate of the 1949 class of Dunmore High School in Dunmore, PA, where he was a football star. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1954. He was employed at the U.S. Government Printing Office as a pressman for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He assembled rosaries for Ranger Rosary Association and volunteered with the Heritage Harbour bingo committee. He was an accomplished organist and enjoyed photography, bowling and ceremics.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Marie A. Nardozzi; father of Michael G. Nardozzi of Annapolis, MD; brother of Rose Chiesfsky of Lanham, MD, Ann Marie Benson of Dunmore, PA and Hilda Mallick of Throop, PA; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday July 10, 2008 at 9:30am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 620 Bestgate Rd. Annapolis, MD. Inurnment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
