Michelle Downey - Obituary

ichelle “Cookie” Downey, 79, a longtime resident of Edgewater, died August 22, 2021. She was born in Washington, DC on March 11, 1942 and was the former owner of Riverside Marina in Edgewater. Cookie was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Sollers and her longtime companion, William Casey. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Cookie’s life on Friday, August 27 from 11 AM until her funeral service at 1 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
