Nancy C. Miller - Obituary

In Loving Memory of Nancy Crumrine Miller November 13, 1936 – August 12, 2026 Nancy Crumrine Miller, 89, passed away on August 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Wadsworth, Ohio to the late Howard and Evelyn Crumrine, she attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and became a teacher in Hyde Park, New York. It was there she met her husband, R. Talbott “Tab” Miller. In 1972, Nancy and Tab moved to Severna Park, Maryland, where they raised their family. She was an amazing cook and an avid gardener, taking great pride and pleasure in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. In 2000, Nancy and Tab moved to Lothian, Maryland, where they continued to build a wonderful life together. After their children were raised, Nancy and Tab enjoyed traveling, taking several memorable trips and adventures throughout their years together. They also spent many years as members of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, an involvement that began when Nancy inherited her childhood boat, a 1946 Garwood Runabout. The boat held a special place in both of their hearts and brought them countless happy memories and friendships over the years. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them. Her love for those around her will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Pete) Burr; her son, R. Talbott “Tab” (Heather) Miller, Jr.; and her five grandchildren, Madison Bishop, Caitlin Miller, Lyndsey Miller, Talbott Bishop, and Emily Burr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, R. Talbott “Tab” Miller, in 2018; her daughter, Suzanne “Suzy” Crumrine Miller, in 2005; her parents, Howard L. Crumrine in 2006 and Evelyn D. Crumrine in 1996; and her brother, Dick Crumrine, in 2022. Nancy leaves behind a lifetime filled with love, family, friendships, adventures, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory and the love she shared with her family will live on in their hearts forever.
