Nancy A. Monacelli - Obituary

ancy A. Monacelli passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on June 15, 1930, in Medina, New York, to Daniel and Mary (Pope) Monacelli. The family moved to Washington, D.C., when Nancy was young, and she later enjoyed a long and successful career as a graphic artist with the Naval Research Laboratory, a job she truly loved. She was also a talented artist and photographer. Nancy traveled extensively to destinations such as Japan, Canada, and many other fascinating places around the world. She loved creating artwork for others to enjoy and share. Nancy was also a devoted caregiver to her family and was known for her kindness, creativity, and generosity. She is survived by her loving niece, Catherine McCarthy; her nephew, Paul Monacelli; her grandnieces, Mary (Ryan) Melton and Meghan McCarthy; and her great-great-nephew, Thomas, whom she adored. She is also survived by several cherished friends and extended family members.
