Neil M. Gordon - Obituary

eil Michael Gordon, 80, a 40 year resident of Davidsonville, MD passed away on May 2, 2025 in Crofton, MD surrounded by his family. Neil was born on March 18, 1945 in Annapolis, MD to the late Myron and Lenora Gordon. He was a 1963 graduate of Annapolis High and attended Baltimore Junior College. Neil was a self employed Home Appraiser/Inspector for over 20 years. He was a member of the West Annapolis VFD for 15 years and served as a Reserve Officer for the Anne Arundel County Police for 16 years. Neil had a passion for politics and cherished moments spent with his family. He also found great enjoyment in monitoring his police and fire radio, always prepared to assist his community whenever the call came. In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his daughter, Marianne Gordon, who died in 2024. He is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Lucy Gordon, his children; Julie Carnes of SC, and Brian Gordon of NC., his sisters, Nancy Gordon of Annapolis and Diane Jorio of FL. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua, Megan, Casey and his great-grandson Kevin. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Neil's life on Saturday, June 28th, from 1 pm until his memorial service begins at 2 pm at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035.
