Nenita Ignacio Buenaventura - Obituary

O

ur beloved mother, Nenita Ignacio Buenaventura, or “Mama”, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the age of 77. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was always there for us when we needed her. She was an active member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) who loved her duties as an Organist and later as a Deaconess. Nenita is survived by her husband, Delfin Buenaventura, her three children Eliza, Alberto, and Neriza; and their spouses Anthony, Karen, and Kenneth. Her grandchildren are Nydel, Elijah, Nathaniel, Loren, Kalvin, Ezekiel, and Kassidy. Nenita is loved and admired by her family. She is the late Pablo and Lina Ignacio's daughter. She is the late Paulino, Bayani, and Daniel's sister. Rosalina, Herminio, Fortunato, Renato, and Paulina are her living siblings. She is truly loved by her many nieces and nephews. Even though her Alzheimer's disease took her early from us, she will live on in our hearts forever. Despite her disease significantly impacting her memory, she remained steadfast in her faith. While all she could do was lay in bed, she found solace and peace in watching and listening to church hymns played on the Johannus organ. She imparted to us the importance of our faith and the love of our duties in the church. We shall never forget her words of reassurance, "Don't worry anak, bahala na ang Dios," which is translated as "Don't worry my child, God will provide". She taught and showed unconditional love for all of us, and we will pass this on to our children and the many generations that will follow us. Our mother was our provider, our heart, and our home. We love you Mama
