Nestor Juco Miraflor, 67, of Clinton, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024. He had been a resident of Prince George’s County, Maryland, for over 30 years. 

Born in Cavite, Philippines, on June 4, 1957, Nestor was one of many siblings and came from a proud lineage of hardworking Filipino immigrants. At a young age, Nestor immigrated to the United States, where he began his distinguished career in the U.S. Army. His service took him around the world, including South Korea, Germany, Guam, Iraq, and various states across the U.S. After his military career, Nestor continued to serve his country through supervisory roles at Joint Base Andrews and Bolling Air Force Base.

Outside of work, Nestor was known for his love of life. He was a passionate Washington Redskins (now Commanders) fan, enjoyed fishing, and loved to spend time with family and friends, often taking the spotlight on the dance floor or at karaoke sessions. He was the life of the party and had a gift for making everyone smile during family gatherings.

Nestor is survived by his devoted wife, Liza, and their children: Nelson (Tanya), Christine, Keann, and Asia. He is also survived by his siblings: Lourdes, Elisa, Lito, Ruby, Dante, and Imee, as well as numerous relatives both in the United States and the Philippines. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Liwayway; father, Eliseo; and his older brother, Nomer.

Nestor will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to Nestor's Life Celebration on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill MD, 20745. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at Saint Columba Catholic Church, 7800 Livingston Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
