Nicholas Stephen Demas - Obituary

icholas S. Demas passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017 at age 90. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Pauline, their four children John, Stephen, George and Anita, 8 grandchildren and his brother, William. Nick was a native of DC and ‘44 graduate of Roosevelt High School and Gettysburg College. He served in WWII as a surgical assistant in the Army Air Corp and later, with his brother, ran a successful family business, Quick Service Laundry. Nick served as past president of the Ahepa, Chapter 31, was a talented craftsman and a remarkably kind person. His greatest joys were his cherished family and wide circle of adoring friends. Friends are invited to celebrate Nick’s life on Saturday, February 25 from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at Normandie Farm Restaurant, 10710 Falls Rd., Potomac, MD 20854.
