N

icholas Joseph Lutzio Jr., 65, a resident of Annapolis for 33 years, died of heart failure July 27 in Silver Spring on the location of a project where he was working at the time. Mr. Lutzio was born March 16, 1942, in Coatesville, Pa., and served in the Air Force. A self-employed home improvement contractor, he owned and operated the Lutzio Construction Co. for 39 years. He was a member of and volunteer at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater for 30 years. His interests included woodworking and sports. Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances Lutzio; two sons, Brian Keith Lutzio of Greenville, S.C., and Nicholas Joseph Lutzio III of Annapolis; his mother, Ann Lutzio of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Mary Moyer, Patti Richards and Ann Marie Walton, all of North Carolina, and Linda Leonard of Virginia; and four grandchildren. Life Celebration will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road in Edgewater. Burial will follow in Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
