Nicholas Lutzio - Obituary

icholas Joseph Lutzio Jr., 65, a resident of Annapolis for 33 years, died of heart failure July 27 in Silver Spring on the location of a project where he was working at the time. Mr. Lutzio was born March 16, 1942, in Coatesville, Pa., and served in the Air Force. A self-employed home improvement contractor, he owned and operated the Lutzio Construction Co. for 39 years. He was a member of and volunteer at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Edgewater for 30 years. His interests included woodworking and sports. Surviving are his wife, Mary Frances Lutzio; two sons, Brian Keith Lutzio of Greenville, S.C., and Nicholas Joseph Lutzio III of Annapolis; his mother, Ann Lutzio of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Mary Moyer, Patti Richards and Ann Marie Walton, all of North Carolina, and Linda Leonard of Virginia; and four grandchildren. Life Celebration will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road in Edgewater.
