Nona Windham - Obituary

ona Kirkland Windham Nona Kirkland Windham, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia for over 50 years and previously of Enterprise, Alabama, died on Sunday January 18, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a 2 year illness. Born September 26, 1923 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Henry C. and Myra V. Kirkland, Sr., she graduated from Howard College in Birmingham, Alabama, now know as Samford University. Nona was a homemaker whose interests included cooking and ceramics. She is survived by her children, Gary Windham of Eldersburg, MD and Stacey Poole of Annapolis, MD and also her 2 grandchildren. Locally, a Memorial service will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2009 at 5:30pm, at Riva Trace Baptist Church. Nona will then have a graveside service on Saturday at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
