Beth Lindsay, 61, of Annapolis, MD, passed away unexpectedly November 1, 2016. Beth was born in Baltimore, MD to Thomas C. and Noreen Lindsay on September 6, 1955. She graduated from Bowie Senior High School with the Class of 1973 and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her love for people and beautiful things led her to become a customer associate for Zachary's Jewelers in Annapolis. Later, her affinity for beauty led her to the Von Lee International School from where she graduated as a licensed Aesthetician and worked at the Center for Dermatology and Skin Care of Maryland. Beth's incredible love for people and animals was evident from an early age. Much of her life was spent celebrating with her family and friends whom she deeply loved. She sang and danced through life to the music that filled her spirit. Her laughter could be heard throughout any room and her blue eyes and gorgeous smile will not be forgotten. Beth did not live a single day without an animal in her life. Her dogs and horses, whom she considered her children, led full and pampered lives and returned her unconditional love. Beth Lindsay is preceded in death by her father, Thomas C Lindsay, Sr of Annapolis, and is survived by her mother, Noreen Lindsay of Crofton, MD, brother, Thomas C. (Janet) Lindsay, Jr. of Severna Park, MD, brother, Craig (Mary) Lindsay of Severna Park, MD, sister, Becky Lindsay Scamurra of Buffalo, NY, brother-in-law Peter Scamurra of Getzville, NY, her wonderful nieces and nephews, Ben Lindsay, Clarke Lindsay, Colin Penoyar, Eric Lindsay, Hayley Scamurra, Jared Penoyar, Morgan Lindsay, Taylor Lindsay, and Travis Scamurra and by her step-mother Sue McNew. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, November 18th, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and a funeral service will be held Saturday, November 19th at 10:30 am, both at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD). A reception and gathering will be held after the funeral service at the Elks Club on Solomons Island Road in Annapolis starting at 11:30 am. In addition, a memorial service will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, we know that our beautiful, loving Beth would want donations to be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel Co, 1815 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403, or directly to the website (www.AACSPCA.org) to help take care of the animals that she loved so much.
