orma Gautier, 82, a 14-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Lanham, MD died on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes after a short illness.
She was born July 8, 1929 in Providence, RI. Norma became well versed in American Sign Language during her employment at The Model Secondary School for the Deaf and was also employed at Gallaudet University until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Annapolis, MD. Norma enjoyed her poker club and loved to cook.
She was predeceased by a son, Charles Fenton; and her former husband, Charles Fenton.
Norma is survived by her husband, William Gautier, whom she married in 1964; a daughter, Kathleen Saul of Georgetown, DE; two granddaughters, Kelly Rose Saul and Mady Angela Bendon, both of Delaware; and one great-granddaughter, Lauryn Rose Dennis of Delaware.
Friends are invited to Norma’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 5 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD 21401 at 10:30am. Interment private.
