Norman “Bill” Miller Nagel, a 25-year resident of Annapolis, died peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Bill was born December 5, 1926 in Washington, D.C., to the late Carl and Anna Mae Nagel. Bill served as a Seaman 1st Class in the US Navy during WWII, from 1944 to 1946. He retired as a surveyor from the Washington Suburban Sanity Commission after a lengthy career.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his son, Norman Nagel, Jr., three brothers; Carl, Elwood and George Nagel and one sister; Anna Mae Grant.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Betty Nagel, one daughter; Linda Lindsey of Pittsboro, North Carolina, one daughter in law; Helen Nagel of Tallmadge, Ohio, three brothers; Robert, Kenneth and Walter Nagel. Also survived by three grandsons, one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was an absolutely amazing person to his family and every friend he ever had.
