Norman Roye - Obituary

orman Roye, 42, of Edgewater, died of a heart attack Aug. 29 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Mr. Roye was born in Annapolis on Jan. 30, 1965. He was a sheet metal worker for Arundel Signs, a truck driver for Southern Floor Co. and superintendent for M. Stancliff Construction Co. His interests included bowling, fishing, auto racing, playing the slots, being with his children and relaxing with a favorite beverage. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl A. Roye, whom he married March 21, 1986; two sons, Christian George and Johnny Roye; one daughter, Robin Roye, all of Edgewater; four brothers, Jimmy Roye Jr. of Delaware, George "Bootsie" Armiger of Edgewater, Michael "Bundy" Armiger of Harwood and Bradley Roye of Pasadena; and his parents, James E. Roye of Pasadena and Phyliss A. Gibbs of Annapolis. He was the brother of the late Christopher Roye. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, where services will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
