Patricia "Pat" D. Maus - Obituary

atricia D. Maus, known to many as "Pat," a resident of Conway, SC, and previously of Edgewater, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. Born September 17, 1954, in Bluefield, WV, to the late Richard L., Sr. and Shirley Lawrence Neal, she graduated from Annapolis Senior High School in 1972. Pat worked as a legal secretary most of her life and was a longtime American Legion Auxilliary Post 226 member in Mayo, MD. She also found joy in gardening, watching hummingbirds, and baking. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Hewitt "Bill" Maus, Jr.; her two siblings, Richard L. Neal, Jr. and Linda J. Hartlove and her two brothers-in-law, Craig A. Moffatt, Sr. and David Hartlove and her nephew, Craig A. Moffatt, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Donna Moffatt of Edgewater, MD; and her cousin, Reba Jo Gale and her husband, James. Friends are invited to celebrate Pat’s life on Monday, July 1 from 11 am until her funeral service begins at 1 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 289, Canton, MA 02021.
