uddenly on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, Tish was a lifetime Girl Scout Leader and senior trainer, former president of DeMatha's Mothers Club and former president of Seton's Parents Club. She was an active member of the Terrapin Club for over 40 years and current president of the St. Matthias Ladies of Charity. The beloved wife of Phillip D. Ates for 47 years; devoted mother of Robin M. (Earle) Kirkley, Dana L. (Neil) McAnney, James Randall "Randy" (Julie) Ates and Laura Lee (Michael) Paulter; sister of Mary Anne (Joseph) Marino; loving grandmother of Earle IV, Katelyn Rose, Diana Marie and Douglass Collins Kirkley, Alaina Anne and Victoria Rose McAnney, James Randall, Jr., Thomas Collins and Eleanor Elizabeth Ates. Family and friends are invited to Tish's Life Celebration on Friday, April 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at St. Matthias, Apostle Catholic Church, 9475 Annapolis Rd. Lanham, MD. where Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, April 17 at 10:00AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthias Ladies of Charity.
