BENTLEY-FISHER Patricia Elizabeth Bentley-Fisher, 69, a 35 year resident of Annapolis and Laurel MD passed away on Saturday, February, 4th at Sunrise Assisted Living, after a lengthy struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by friends. Ms. Fisher was born on July 6, 1942 in Lancaster, Ohio to William Clifford and Hester E. Watson. She spent her early years on a small family farm near Circleville, Ohio and was educated in Pickaway Township School where she graduated in 1960. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and from Cornell University in 1976 With a Doctor of Law Degree. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Fisher was predeceased by her parents and a brother who died in infancy. Her beloved husband, Elwood Fisher, died in 2007. She is survived by one sister, Laura J. (Robert) Bader of Xenia, Ohio, two nieces, Anne B. (Rodney) Cossaboon of Centerville, Ohio and Karen S. (Clifford) Weeks of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a great niece Kailea J. Weeks. Ms. Fisher was an active member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Laurel and a member of the Rotary International Club of Laurel. She was an expert baker and cook, and was a friendly and generous person with her many friends. She enjoyed classical music, plays, theater, gourmet dining and her pet dogs, Chloe and Mokka. Her great passion was travel and she was able to visit all of the continents and develop friendships in many countries. Professionally, she was trained as a lawyer and worked for many years in divorce mediation, legal research, estate planning and business management. She was retired at the time of her death. Pat's Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, February 11 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037, Tel: (410) 956-4488. A reception will be held at the Funeral Home following the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 3592 Whisky Bottom Road, Laurel, MD 20724.
