atricia "Patti" Buscher, known for her infectious laugh and radiant smile, passed away at the age of 79, leaving behind countless memories and a legacy of joy. Patti was a resident in Lancaster PA for the last two years and previously of Edgewater MD. Born on February 18th, 1944 to the late Thelma C. Thompson and George W. Effinger, Jr., Patti was a beloved Daughter, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and so much more. She is survived by her Brother, George Effinger; Daughter, Sherri Lewis; grandchildren, Ethan Lewis and Tiffany Lackey and great grandchild, Naomi Lackey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rolland Effinger and sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Cecelia Weidemann, and Naomi Guthrie. Patti dedicated her career to public service as a Public Affairs Specialist before retiring, leaving a mark of professionalism and dedication in her field. Her passion for communication and connecting with people shined through in all her endeavors. Beyond her professional life, Patti was a beacon of positivity in every room she entered. Her laughter was infectious, and her smile could brighten even the darkest of days. She had a deep love for music, especially the tunes of Elvis Presley, whose melodies brought her immense joy throughout her life, especially at the end. In her leisure time, Patti found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed writing, immersing herself in the world of books, Prayer and taking leisurely walks. These activities brought her peace and contentment, reflecting her gentle and contemplative nature. Patti was a devoted mother to her daughters, Sherri and Donna Marie, whose lives she enriched with her boundless love and unwavering support. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to Ethan and Tiffany, and her heart overflowed with love upon the arrival of her great-grandchild, Naomi. Though Patti has left this world, her selflessness knew no bounds, and she was always putting others before herself. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, kindness, and joy for life will be remembered forever. A celebration of Patti's life will be held at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville on February 12, 2024 at 12PM, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and remember the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johns Hopkins Huntington's Disease Clinical and Research Fund in Patti's honor. Condolences may be made by using the Memories tab on this page.
