atricia Ann Green affectionately known as "Patsy" was the third born of 15 children to the late John and Mildred Green. On Thursday May 29, 2025 she departed this earthly life after a short illness at Sibley Memorial hospital. From the beginning Pat was a very quiet and respectful young lady. She attended the D.C. Public School System. Pat graduated from Margaret Murray Washington Vocational High School, her major was sewing. After graduation she started her career at Beauty Craft Plastic, where she sewed plastic slip covers for major retail stores. After working for 15 years, Pat decided to enrich her livelihood and applied for a job as an assistant chef where she cooked at The Rayburn, The Longworth, and The Cannon Buildings serving the US Congress and Senators on Capitol Hill. Pat retired after working over 40 years during her lifetime of service. Her side hustle during her early years included sewing furniture slip covers, custom drapes, wedding dresses and gowns for special events. She enjoyed music, fishing, cooking, especially her famous coleslaw. Also, Pat played a mean game of bid whist with family and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her devoted life partner of 35 years Charles E. Lee (Chirp), parents John and Mildred Green, her siblings: Joseph, Nicholas, Roland, Lawrence, Darryl, and Harriet, and her godson, Randy Nelson. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son Charles B. Green, a daughter-in-law Lolita L. Green, three Grandsons, Charles Jr., Isaiah (Christa), and Daniel, one great granddaughter Akirah Parks-Green and great grandson Dantez. In addition, she leaves her siblings: Darnell Green, Noble Green, Michael Green, Raymond Green, Alvin Green, Frances Harshaw, Antoinette Prue, and Theresa Cain, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pat was also blessed to have a devoted friend of over 70 years, Beverly A. Montague. Pat will always be remembered and loved for her kindness and understanding by the people who knew her well. Relatives and friends are invited to Patricia's Life Celebration on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the start of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Interment will follow at National Harmony Memorial Park, 7101 Sheriff Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20785.
