Patricia Kornberg - Obituary

atricia M. Kornberg, 74, a twenty year resident of Annapolis, MD died of heart failure on March 2, 2016 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on January 17, 1942 in London, England to the late John and Mary Kelly, Patricia was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Washington, D.C. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, was an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brother, Terence Kelly and her sister, Maureen Kelly Maher. She is survived by her husband, Allan Kornberg; her children, Kelly Jarvis of Annapolis, Stephen Tackney, Sr. of Daytona Beach, FL, Neal Tackney, Jr. of Greenville, SC and Patrick Tackney of Annapolis; her siblings, Cathleen Erickson, Kevin and John Kelly, Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan, Michaela and Conor Jarvis, Stephen, Brendan, Hunter, Caitlin, Alexis, Cameron and Ashley Tackney. Friends are invited to celebrate Patricia's life from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, March 4, at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Saturday, March 5 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 109 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD. Interment St. Mary's Church Cemetery in Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, MD 21122.
