Patricia Lambird - Obituary

atricia “Pat” Lambird, 77, a 38-year resident of Upper Marlboro, MD died at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes on June 18, 2009. Born June 10, 1932 in Sacramento, CA, she was a devoted homemaker. She volunteered in the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and the YMCA. She enjoyed doing volunteer work, gardening, the beach and her family. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Lambird, whom she married in 1954; devoted mother of Thomas J. Lambird of Bowie, MD, Steven M. Lambird of Greenbelt, MD, Richard D. Lambird of Rockville, MD, Barbara A. Lambird of Glenn Dale, MD and Diana J. Lambird of Davidsonville, MD; grandmother of Dylan and Zoe Cyphers of Davidsonville, MD, Patrick Cates of Glenn Dale, MD, Elizabeth Cates Gonzalez of College Park, MD and Ryan Lambird of Bethesda, MD. All services and interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Purple Heart Service Foundation. Arrangements are by the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD.
