atricia Rose Byrne Linton, 67, a 29-year resident of Annapolis, died December 14 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Born on November 14, 1946 in Detroit, MI to the late Joseph and Isabelle Byrne, Patricia was educated in the parochial schools of Detroit and received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in special education from Wayne State University. She taught in the Detroit public schools and retired from the Anne Arundel County public school system.
Patricia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Annapolis and the Junior League of Annapolis. She enjoyed sailing and racing sailboats and world travel.
Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and William Byrne. She is survived by her daughter, Ruthann Linton and son-in-law, John Schenkel of Kalamazoo, MI; two brothers, Roderick and Gerald Byrne of Detroit; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends are invited to Patricia's Life Celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 16 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater and again from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 North Bestgate Road, Annapolis. Interment will be held at a later date in Michigan.
