Patricia Mannion - Obituary

atricia Ann Mannion passed away on March 17, 2010 at the Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. She was born on November 17, 1925 in Sewickley, PA. She was the beloved mother of 6 children. A snowbird at heart, Pat lived her winter months in Punta Gorda, and summer months in Edgewater with 3 of her 6 children. Pat loved her life in Emerald Point, and all the friends she made along the way in Florida. She also enjoyed spending time with each of her children during her summers in Maryland. Pat was an avid bridge player and reader, as well as volunteer at Hospice in both Florida and Maryland. She loved to travel, and enjoyed many cruises with her husband, and then with her dear girl friends in his absence. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Mannion in 1992. She is survived by her brothers, Raymond Byrne of Conway, PA and Donald Byrne of Fredona, NY; daughters Pamela Hale of Annapolis, MD, Patricia Mannion of Seaside, CA, Kathleen Mannion of Atlantic Beach, FL, Maureen Wetterau of Crofton, MD and Mary Ciepiela of Hanover, MD; her one and only son Michael Mannion of Spartanburg, SC; and grandchildren Joseph Mannion, Michael Mannion and Jessica Wetterau. Relatives and friends are invited to Patricia's Life Celebration on Friday, March 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm with prayers at 8pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. Interment at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.
