Patricia Gunde Poole - Obituary

atricia “Patty” Gunde Poole, age 63 and a 30 year resident of Annapolis, died in Annapolis on June 10, 2022. Born in Washington, DC on December 20, 1958 to the late Joseph and Helen Gunde, she was a 1976 graduate of La Reine High School in Suitland. She worked her entire career for the U.S. Courts, starting off as a secretary and eventually moving up to running the data center for the courts, retiring in 2014. In her spare time, she loved gardening, crafting, outdoor adventures, puzzles and history of all kinds. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Gary S. Poole, and a brother, Francis Gunde. She is survived by her children; Rachael (Daniel) Faulkner of Annapolis, Lauren Poole of Philadelphia and Jack Poole of Annapolis; her grandchildren, Dorothy and Henry Faulkner; and her brother, Joseph (Peggy) Gunde of Davidsonville. Family and friends are invited to Patty’s life celebration on Thursday, June 16 from 5-8 PM at Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 17 at 1 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville.
